Students direct wheelchair funds to Haitian amputees

Our 1st & 2nd year medical students have directed $5,500 in pledged funds to provide wheelchairs for Haitians who have suffered leg amputations. This will partially cover the $8,200 needed to ship a container of wheelchairs to Haiti through the Wheelchair Foundation. Further donations are accepted here - please put “OHSU” in the comment box!

OHSU medical students raise funds for Haiti relief

The School of Medicine's four MD classes have responsed to the rapidly-worsening humanitarian crisis in Haiti by supporting Partners in Health, a non-profit that has experience in Haiti going back more than 20 years.
